¶ Maven Documents Carcharodon Release Notes
¶ Release Summary
As you can tell from the name of the Release, which stands for the genus of white sharks, the essential changes took place "under the water" but the "flipper" feature is the thing that catches your attention.
The feature that you will see is the opportunity to merge separate PDF files into one document.
The more important stuff is not visible to you but believe us it's really there. With this Release, we changed the way how Actions functionality is working. It is hard to describe the nuts and bolts without being too technical so we would just mention that it works differently and better now.

¶ New Features
¶ Merge PDF
Use this feature to put together multiple PDF files into one. You can either merge the generated file or just join separate PDFs without launching the generation process.
¶ Actions functionality
We added Action Request Object in order to track Maven Documents Actions history. It can help admins get visibility on usage and add some versatility when working with Actions.
¶ Upgrading Notes
After the application is upgraded, there are a few things to tweak so you'll have the full experience of the changes.
- Open Action Object in Setup settings
- Select Page Layout tab
- Open each Action's layout and move Order Of Execution and Mandatory Action fields to Action Detail section
For example, in the screenshot below you can see the layout of the Delete Google File Action

Now, when you are adding a new Action to the Document Solution, two additional features are available.

- Actions on a Document Solution can be executed in the custom order
- Actions on a Document Solution can be mandatory and influence document generation
- Improved the way Document Requests' execution is tracked
- Ability to invoke actions independently of document generation
