Like an octopus has 8 arms, you can consider this release to be a body part of the previous one.
With this package, Google templates become headless, DOCX and Excel files can be previewed before generation begins, and Excel files can now be exported in CSV format. Additionally, post-generation actions have been reworked. So, buckle up!
You can use the following link to install or upgrade the application.
We changed the way the "Maven Documents" Salesforce Application accesses our backend function when working with Google Docs and Google Sheets templates.
With our "Headless" API on the backend side, we switched completely to Salesforce Named Credentials to configure communication endpoints. This way, all the authentication information is secure, centralized, and configurable.
To help you set up Named Credentials and related configurations quickly, access Maven Headless Settings on the "Setup Assistant page.
You can now preview DOCX and XLSX files before they are merged.
The feature allows you to save the generated XLSX files in CSV format.
There are only two Actions left on the "Document Solution" record. Starting from this version, the majority of Actions are available only in the Flow.
As the "Maven Headless" application defines how we work with templates, you will need to set it up first to accomplish the generation process. This means the generation of Google Templates won't work right after the upgrade process until you configure the Maven Headless settings.
Follow these instructions to finalize the upgrade process.
